NOTICE: we do NOT have the odd two pin plug to the P50 keying line, so we offer the solution below.

IN-STOCK! FAST SHIP!

What's included?
1) Keying cable for ICOM IC-705 to plug into our RBI-1 BUFFERED protective interface
2) RBI-1A Buffered Keying protective interface
3) RCA Cable from output of RBI-1A and a female RCA jack so YOU can wire to your amplifier keying line (cut off the odd plug on P-50, then solder to the female jack RED of amplifier keying line to CENTER of RCA jack, BLACK of amplifier keying line to OUTSIDE of RCA jack) It is MUCH better to have a universal RCA jack as the connector to your amplifier keying line like almost all other amplifiers in the Ham world!
PROTECT YOUR ICOM IC-705 keying circuit, ALWAYS USE THE RBI-1 INTERFACE!

Shielded high copper braid content, stranded copper center amplifier keying cable for the new ICOM IC-705. Use this cable and RBI-1A buffered interface to key (activate) your external power amplifier.

The IC-705 keying pin provides a closure to ground on transmit which activates our RBI-1A

INCLUDES High quality buffered interface between IC-705 radio and our RBI-1A will key any amplifier*.
Many amplifiers have a voltage or current requirement too high for the delicate keying circuit inside the IC-705!
Get our cables and buffered interface BEFORE you damage your radio!

Our box will draw <5 ma from your radio and will key any amplifier. A very handy accessory. Get one BEFORE you damage your radios amplifier keying output!
RCA jacks in and out for keying the interface from your radio and output to your amplifier T/R relay control
Needs 9-15 VDC at only 40 ma, has 2.1 x 5.5 mm DC jack
, universal plug and 5 feet of wire included, center positive
Relay rated up to 240 VAC at 5 AMPS!
Genuine relay used for switching (not an easy to damage solid state device)
INCLUDES:
IC-705 keying cable, 3 feet
RBI-1A buffered interface
RCA-RCA keying cable, 6 feet
Female jack for YOU to attach to your amplifier keying line
These are high quality, high copper braid RCA connector cables

The RBI-1A can be used with any amplifier* that has connection for switching to ground for amplifier T/R control.
What if your amplifier requires a voltage to activate instead of a ground?
No problem!
Here is what you do:
Connect ONE side (either center or shield of RCA jack on RBI-1A) to YOUR supplied keying voltage, then use the other side (
either center or shield of RCA jack on RBI-1A) to send the switched voltage to your amplifier. Remember, the RCA jack on the output of the RBI-1 is then being used as a switch to connect whatever you put on the shield (for example) that gets connected to the center (for example) when you key your radio.

See our eBay store listings for our complete line of Amplifier Relay Buffer Interfaces.
In other listings we have models with 2 radios and a bypass switch, 2 or more amplifiers or other device (like noise reduction unit keying, mute, etc)

When connecting your Radio and Amplifier, there may be switching voltage, polarity, and current incompatibility  that can cause damage to your radio or amplifier if connected without a switching interface between them. Even if your internal radio switching looks like it might be usable, it is wise to have an extra degree of isolation between your amplifier and radio with our relay buffer interface.
