SIZE: The printed area for each view including titles is approx 21 x 13 cm, 8.25 x 5.25 inches (medium) plus margins.   

ARTIST/CARTOGRAPHER/ENGRAVER: Drawn by Raphael and J. Arthur Brandon. Lithograph by J.K. Colling.  The Brandon brothers were architects, Raphael Brandon is best known as the architect of the former Catholic Apostolic church in Gordon Square, London.

PROVENANCE: A view published in 'Brandon's Parish Churches', Brandon, Raphael and J. Arthur. Published by George Bell, London, 1848.

VERSO: There is nothing printed on the reverse side, which is blank.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:   Howell is a hamlet in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) north of the A17, 4 miles (6 km) east from Sleaford, and 1.5 miles (2.4 km) north from Heckington.  Howell's Grade II* listed Anglican parish church is dedicated to St Oswald. Originating in the 13th century, and restored in 1870, it includes a chancel, nave, a north aisle, chantry chapel,  arcadeof three bays, porch, and an Early English double bell-cote.
