French Antique Art Deco Christofle Appetizer Set – 1934 -Tableware Barware

A very elegantly styled, silverplated appetizer set from the famous French silversmith Christofle, composed of five glass ramekins set on a tray, with a lid.

This model is number a-730 in the 1934 to 1939 Christofle catalogues.

The tray measures 12 ¼ inches in diameter and is stamped and hallmarked ‘Christofle’ on the bottom.

Very solidly crafted, it weighs 5 lbs in all.

Each ramekin has a design on the bottom and the knob on the round centre ramekin has an ivory color bakelite ring around it.

The set in is very good condition.

The ramekins are perfect – no chips, no cracks and no fissures.

The tray has very minor traces of use on the bottom and the lid is in excellent shape – shiny with hardly any traces of wear.

It is a sleekly styled, elegant appetizer set and looks very sophisticated on a cocktail table or buffet.
