Vintage reproduction nickel plated brass saddles to fit vintage Gibson ABR-1 bridges from the 1950's and direct equivalent.  The original 50’s saddles varied, with differences in appearance, the width of the top land and the angle of the slant etc.  This set covers the chunky block style with wide top lands and slacker slant angle.  Please see my other listings for the blunt chisel style saddle set.

Please examine your bridge to assure compatibility, do not assume by the model year of the guitar which bridge you have especially if purchased previously owned.  Look at the bottom of the bridge for the brand marks if necessary.  Pop the saddles, look for the ejector pin impressions in the bridge if you cannot see them using a flashlight.  For wired bridges it may be easier to move the saddles and re-intonate afterwards than deal with the wire.

FITS:

·       1950’s, 1960’s wire and no-wire ABR bridges with the foundry mark or patent number on the bottom.
There are NO round ejector pin marks down in the recesses where the saddles sit (see picture).

·       1990’s-2000’s retaining wire bridges, these had no foundry mark.
They have TWO round ejector pin marks down where the E string saddles sit

Will NOT Fit:

·       Any non-Gibson brand and marked ABR-1 bridge including Pigtail, Faber, Tonepros, Callaham, etc.

·       2009 – present: Gibson no-wire and retaining wire ABR bridges with the foundry mark.
They have THREE round ejector pin impressions where the saddles sit
These recent bridges need my Vintage MOD upgrade kit for proper fit and tone.

Supplied as a set of 6 un-slotted saddles plus a spare (7 total). Installation and slotting tips included.

The saddles should be slotted based on the player’s preferences and the layout of the guitar.    It is not difficult to slot the wide top lands of the soft brass using proper nut files.
