Listing is for two (2) large serving bowls in the Johnson Brothers Heritage White pattern. Condition is used with some crazing, but otherwise good with no chips or cracks. Bowls are 9 1/2" in diameter.

The Heritage White pattern was produced from 1974 to 2003 and its octagonal shape adds an extra dimension to tablescapes. Mix and match with other Johnson Brothers patterns such as "Fresh Fruit," "Eternal Beau" or other octagonal-shaped dinnerware--see some suggestions below. For the holidays, it would be great mixed with the octagonal "Christmastime" pattern by Nikko. See my other listings for more pieces in the Heritage White pattern; I am happy to combine shipping costs for savings to you.

History: Johnson Brothers consistently produced some of the loveliest china patterns throughout the 20th century. Founded in 1883 in Staffordshire, England, Johnson Brothers created earthenware products so sturdy they were nicknamed "white granite"--it looked like fine china but was as tough as ironstone. By 1900, Johnson Brothers had established a satellite office in New York and quickly became a major exporter of china to the United States; largely transferware which proved very popular with Americans. Johnson Brothers was acquired by the Wedgwood Group in 1968, but was discontinued in 2015 when Wedgwood was acquired by Fiskars.
