Alaska Mix has a lovely range of colours made up of black velvet, cherry rose pink, peach, tangerine, orange & yellow parasol shaped blooms with a spicy fragrance.
What makes this variety stand out is the marbled green and white leaves with a height of 10 to 14 inches and
a bushy growth spreading only 1 to 2 feet wide.
Every garden & salad should have these edible flowers & leaves in them to brighten them up with the mixture of coloured blooms
of black velvet, cherry rose pink, peach, tangerine, orange & yellow.
In WW11 these delightful flowers & leaves were often substituted for pepper in recipes.
Low growing mounds of semi-double blooms that face upward & are ideal for bedding, borders,
tubs & containers. A delightful & easy to grow multi - purpose flower in an array of stand out colours.
Height of 10 to 14 inches with bushy growth & 1 to 2 feet wide spread.
Soak the seeds overnight and they do best when planted direct or in degradable pots.
Can be started indoors but needs care in transplanting.
Germination 10 to 14 days
Sow 1/2 inch deep in a area that gets at least 6 hours of direct sun each day.
Plant out after risk of frost has passed.
