Horny Goat Weed (commonly referred to as Epimedium or Icariin) is an herb that is most commonly used for its aphrodisiac and testosterone-like effects. Its peculiar name stems from China, hundreds of years ago, when it was noticed by farmers that their goats or sheep would have a lot of energy and have sex for longer periods and more frequently after chewing on this herb. Horny Goat Weed played a strong role in Traditional Chinese Medicine and the name Horny Goat Weed is a direct translation from the TCM name, "Yin Yang Huo".
