Photograph Notes: This shows the veteran bandleader Harry Gold playing his contrabass saxophone in London's 100 Club in Oxford Street. Harry who is now dead was then 89 years old. The saxophone is believed to be one of only two such instruments in a playable condition in the UK; there are believed to be only 25 or so such saxophones anywhere in the world some of which have been made recently.
