Photograph Notes: The first record of a church on this site appears to be about 1100AD. Today's church is a combination of C12 through to C19 alterations. The south arcade dates back to C13. The screen and distinctive ogee headed piscina are medieval. The font is believed to be of Saxon origin. There are some stone heads set into the east wall above the small altar one of which has been described as Palestinian in style and may have been brought here from the Crusades.
