This is used to convert the outlet on a refillable gas cylinder with a factory fitted butane style / Male 21.8mm LH fitting thread on it to male UK POL fittings.

Commonly used for fitting UK propane regulators to cylinders with 21.8mm LH fittings which fitted on some UK butane cylinders and many of the refillable cylinders in the world.
