Kathe Walker-Millar is a Professor of Art at McMurry University. A natural born Yankee from Rochester, New York, Kathe migrated to Mexico with the monarchs when her father, an engineer for Kodak, was transferred there; and she graduated from high school in Guadalajara. Professor Walker-Millar earned a Bachelor of Fine Art in Ceramics and a Master of Education from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth; and a Master of Fine Art in Ceramics and with a minor in Photography from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. Kathe taught at Texas Christian University before coming to McMurry University in 1992. She continues to be an actively exhibiting artist, travels as much as possible, and lives in Abilene with her artist husband, Larry Millar, and their pets; with three daughters and seven grand kids nearby.
