This vintage, children's holiday craft book is adorable!  It is in very good condition, considering how long I have had it!  It is missing 2 pages, so there is no pattern for the Santa Claus or Christmas containers.  Many of the pages are loose, as they were removed for copying, but were placed back in the book.  I did not include a photo of the back of this book, so I could include an additional photo of the pages within.  But, the back of the book is in even better shape than the front, as the front cover has some scuffing I used this reproducible book in my 1st grade classroom.  My students loved making these balloon holiday containers!  This item comes from a smoke free home.

The author of this book is Claudia Breznau.  The editor is Eileen F. Moyer.  The publisher is Instructo/McGraw-Hill and the copyright date is 1981.  The book is 20 pages (minus those that are missing).  On the inside front cover, there is a table of contents and illustrated directions for assembly of the holiday containers.  The instructions recommend putting a container pattern onto a half-pint milk carton to make them more sturdy.  But, if they are simply going to be used as a decorative item or filled with items that are not that heavy (ex. the Easter Bunny container filled with Easter grass and mini plastic eggs), they can be constructed without the support of the pint carton.  The back cover has a section on "Ways To Use Craft Containers"Four different suggestions are given (party candy and nut cups, planters: Here, a pint milk carton must be used., crayon keepers: You would also want to use a pint milk carton here, due to the weight of the crayons., and desk organizers to hold paper clips, rubber bands, tacks, etc.).  There are many more creative uses for these craft containers other than the 4 mentioned

The container patterns in this book cover the following holidays/seasons/themes: schoolhouse, Autumn, witch (Halloween), Halloween, Indian (Thanksgiving), Pilgrim/Thanksgiving, snowman (Winter), Valentine's Day, Lincoln/Washington (President's Day), leprechaun (St. Patrick's Day), Easter Bunny, April showers (Spring), flower basket (Spring), insects (Spring), fun in the sun (Summer), zoo animals, dinosaurs, and pets.  Unfortunately, the holiday of Christmas is not covered, since the Santa Claus and Christmas container patterns are missing

If you purchase this item and I come across the 2 missing pages, I will mail them to you.  It is possible that I may still have them somewhere in my teaching files.

This item would make a wonderful addition to an elementary classroom!  It would also be great to have in a household with children of that age!  I am hoping to find this item a good home.
