This will fit your classic Honda CBX1000 1979 to 1981 and prolink version.

Note last few pictures show two types of used and worn out CBX1000 fuel taps.

This is a brand new reproduced fuel tap and it has the following settings... ON, OFF, RESERVE.

Note that our tap has the fuel outlet on the right and a fuel strainer bowl on the bottom. The bowl is made from metal and not plastic like some others are.

The casting of our taps is superb and they are all checked for smooth operation before dispatch.

Please take a good look at the pictures of our taps and see if you can find better castings elsewhere!

Don't mess about trying to reseal your old original fuel tap. we've tried all that and it just doesn't last. They generally leak through the front or just get bunged up. Also the seal kits are expensive too.

Apart from that it's not worth wasting time even trying to fix them when you can buy something like this from us so cheaply !

OK so this tap not original Honda but it is a much cheaper alternative than trying to get an original one. These are as good anyway with a screwed front plate to make future maintenance easier.

Our taps are as good as you are going to buy, I've searched high and low for a long time for taps for these bikes that are just right and these are the best!

we check each tap before dispatch for any casting errors and tightness of the tap.

To date, we have had no returns or issues with my supplier and manufacturer.

Fitting this will eradicate all the usual problems of old taps not working and fuel not flowing or leaking taps.

Technical specifications:

These taps are very well made with very good casting material and tolerances, they are not made from 'monkey metal' like lots of other cheap taps are. I've bought them!... and binned them!

Also they are not within the nearest 1cm etc that you may find non UK suppliers quoting!

This will be a direct fit on your bike.

Connection to fuel line: 6mm internal diameter fuel pipe. Yours is larger so plan on changing it or fitting a reducer which we sell separately

Main thread size is 18mm x 1mm standard clockwise thread.

PLEASE COULD YOU CHECK THAT YOURS IS THE SAME BEFORE PURCHASE AS SOME BIKES HAVE A DIFFERENT SIZE FITTED.

We also sell taps with 20mm threads for these bikes so please measure yours BEFORE you buy this one

We sell good quality E5 and E10 resistant clear or green tinted 6mm internal diameter fuel pipe too if you need it.

Our taps are supplied with a seal and have an internal syphon pipe which is also a filter. I wouldn't recommend removing this tap once it's fitted and sealed so I would recommend that you fit an inline filter too. Triple cover!
