Saya with rattan winding is a sheath made with traditional japanese craft，whose fabrication is very complicate.the process of making a sheath requires a lot of work and time.after shaping，the top of the sheath need to be enlaced with the bamboo and rattan in a skillful way at the accurate position，after which is the lacquering.due to the special craftwork in making this kind of sheath，it requires 3 or 4 times more lacquering than that of the sheath made in a common way，and after each lacquering，it cannot move to the next step until it is totally dry.
