Don't use old woodruff keys on these powerful engines especially when you change your crankshaft or if you notice any wear at all on your existing key.

If you have to remove the clutch basket and primary gear or the flywheel to inspect or change your stator check for wear and replace

These are very good engineering quality woodruff keys made from C45 or EN8 grade Medium carbon steel and not softer low carbon steel.
