Photograph Notes: Established in 1870 by James Bamforth painter and studio photographer this is the former warehouse and studio best known for its "cheeky" seaside postcard production. Part of the building is in a state of neglect and its Blue Plaque status awarded by the Holme Valley Civic Society is a mark of its illustrious past and a hope that it might have a future.
