Degué

A beautiful pair of authentic 1930 French art deco wall sconces in nickel plated solid brass or bronze holding two beautiful oblong shades in frosted molded-pressed glass by Degué. The Paris based (41 rue de Paradis) company of David Guéron was founded in 1926. Guéron employed the ceramist and designer Edouard Cazaux as his artistic director and head designer. In 1936 production stopped and the company finally closed down in 1939. This model is represented in the old Degue product catalog as #501. It is never signed. Sometimes the model number can be seen on the rim. Most are unmarked though. The sconces can be placed vertical or horizontal. They are 35,5 cm high (14") 11,5 cm wide (4-1/2") and 6 cm deep (2-3/8"). The sconces are in excellent condition. I have re-nickeled and patinated the fixtures. The lamps come rewired. For the USA Canada or Japan I placed two American candelabra base sockets per sconce. For European countries I will rewire them with E14 ones.

Free worldwide shipping. The sconces will be shipped with full insurance by priority mail.
