ONE-OF-A-KIND RARE 110-115-YEAR-OLD ANTIQUE CUSTOM Kodak Quick Focus No. 3B Model A (earliest model) c. 1906-1911, low S/N 835K which took 3 ¼ʺ x 5 ½ʺ exposures on 125 film, completely refinished with a new Camphor wood veneer covering. Very few Kodak Quick Focus’ are ever available on Ebay, particularly for a reasonable price! As an unusual focusing box camera, the proper focal distance was set with a lever on the side of the camera corresponding to the distance to object. When the button next to the focusing lever was pressed, the front end opens/pops straight out to the proper distance, already focused and ready to shoot (although the lever and focusing button don’t always work properly). Internal bellows are intact, pliant and free of visible pinholes, viewfinders are relatively clear and bright, shutter fully operational, and has a unique 3-section hinged film compartment cover similar to the Kodak Flexo (unlatch the front connector for the handle, then press in the upper and lower compartment releases on the side to release the top and bottom flaps of the cover). Achromatic lens is clear with no fungus, haze or balsam separation. Customized with a Camphor veneer and all hardware polished, this camera is a one-of-a-kind creation, perfect for display in any camera collection or gift for the avid camera collector!
