Photograph Notes: This is a relief panel or frieze set into the brickwork at the top of the street-facing wall of the Clinton Cards building in Pier Avenue Clacton. A second panel with the same design is to the right with the flat roof behind. I do not know the building's age but it and the frieze are visible on a postcard of Electric Parade (the old name for the street) sent in 1908. Clacton-on-Sea was founded in 1871.
