This pin was manufactured for the 1980 summer Olympics primarily held in Moscow in the former Soviet Union, but the sailing event was held in Estonia at the Pirita Olympic Yachting Center.
The Sailing program of 1980 consisted of a total of six sailing classes Finn, 470, Flying Dutchman, Tornado, Star and Soling.
The badge face is 2cm high and has a safety clasp style fastener to the rear. The badge is made from a silver coloured metal.
The picture displays a sailing boat and the text 'Tallin XXii', for the 22nd Olympic games.
