1881 Rogers 6 Antique Advertising Peerless Buggies Flatware La Vigne Teaspoons 











Lot of six early Rogers flatware teaspoons that advertise the Peerless Buggy Company.  Each spoon is incised "Peerless Buggies".  LA VIGNE pattern - all the spoons are in good condition - These are pre-20th century silver plates pieces and have the original logo indicated by an "A1" next to the 1881 Rogers. "A1" indicates the number of ounces of pure silver used in the plating. There's two ounces per gross of teaspoons for A1.

If you research Peerless, these spoons represent an era of the company prior to them inventing the motor car as shown in the second photo.

Spoons show oxidation from age.
