Mixing Instructions for Milk Replacer: Mix the full bag (250 g.) with 1 2/3 cups (400 mL) of boiled water, then add another 4 1/4 cups (1000 mL) of boiled water and mix the formula before serving. To make smaller servings, divide the recipe using the same proportions. For example, mix half the bag of milk replacer (125 g.) with 3/4 cups (200 mL) of boiled water, then add another 2 cups (500 mL) of boiled water and mix the formula before serving. Feeding Instructions for Milk Replacer: Warm the formula to 85 degrees F, test the temperature on your wrist, then feed using the included syringe/nipple. Offer one small drop at a time by placing it on the mouth, being careful not to squirt into the nostrils or down the throat. Feeding portions will vary by species and age, contact a licensed wildlife rehabber for more detailed information and instructions. Storage Instructions for Milk Replacer: You can serve the milk replacer right after mixing, or you can store the mixture refrigerated for ~10 days, or frozen for ~6 months. To store individual portions, measure the formula using the syringe then squeeze the portioned formula into an ice cube tray. Store the unmixed powder sealed airtight in its bag, away from extreme heat/cold, humidity, and sunlight.
