Aquila Red Series Strings provide superior performance over traditional strings and are ideal for musicians seeking a brighter, more responsive sound with powerful voicing across the full scale of the instrument.

Previously it has always been necessary to increase the gauge of a string enabling it to produce a lower pitched note. This creates problems as increasing a string's diameter also increases internal dampening, making it less bright, less responsive and more muffled. The thicker the string, the duller the sound.

Aquila's revolutionary new approach changes the specific weight of the material, increasing it progressively whilst leaving the gauge almost unchanged.

Aquila use different percentages of metal powder to optimize each string's performance within the set and this can be seen as the colour varies slightly across each string. This unique approach gives Aquila Reds a unique feeling and provides the strong, powerful voicing and consistent sound Red Series fans have come to love from the Red Series range.
