Stunning limited edition Baker Furniture "Woburn Abbey Collection" Regency style breakfront. Piece number four of thirty that were made (#4/30), in the company's second edition of this particular piece. Very scarce and oversized as well so please check the measurements Beautifully crafted of satinwood and mahogany veneers, with string inlay and banded edges. As Baker moved into the luxury market during the 1960s and1970s, their product introductions included collections of country English furniture. Highlights included pieces from Woburn Abbey, introduced in 1969, featuring 25 choice English antiques of the home of the Duke and Duchessof Bedford. This piece, the "Woburn Gun Cupboard" - a beautifully restrained and elegant piece, typical of the early 19th century Regency period. It has a unique and dramatically style pediment, and a heavy brass molding that surrounds the glass panels and lower door recessed panels. Illuminated interior. Comes with the key and original booklet/paperwork, cleverly stored in a wooden envelope mounted in the inside lower cabinet.

In exceptional condition. Structurally perfect. The color is even on all sides, absolutely no fading. There is a very tiny area of loss at the front left corner, on the underside of the band of inlay that runs below the top doors. Only visible if you are at that level but very small. The glass shelves are excellent, two have some small chips at the underside of their front left corners. Otherwise perfect. Glass is very thick. The lower cabinets have holes for shelf brackets, but there are no shelves. Due to the height, most people would not use the shelves as it limits the size items desired to store.

Measurements: 92" tall. The cabinet portion is 15" deep at either side, and is 16" deep at the cornice and base. The center projection is 16.5" deep and the cornice/base trim is 17.5" deep. The center portion of the cabinet is appx. 47" wide. The upper doors are appx. 52" high. The glass shelves are 3/8" thick.
