Traditional Ginger Beer Plant

This Ginger Beer 'Plant' is made to a traditional farmhouse recipe from all natural ingredients.  Not a plant as such, but a liquid concoction which could often be found in a jar in the kitchen of many homes in years gone by.

Feed the plant for 7 days with the ground ginger provided and then make lashings (4 litres) of fabulous, naturally fizzy, ginger beer using lemons, sugar and water every week.

Each week the plant can be divided, give one half to a friend, continue feeding the other half for more great tasting ginger beer.

You will need a coffee jar or something similar to keep it in.  Watch it pop and bubble away each day, then at the end of the week, you can make 4 litres of ginger beer.  It is surprisingly simple, but tastes great! You can adjust it to your taste, or get exotic by adding chilli or orange.  You can even make it mulled ginger beer with the simple addition of cinnamon.

You choose whether to make your ginger beer alcoholic or non alcoholic and it really is simple.

Full instructions are included and you don't need any fancy equipment, just a jar and some plastic pop bottles to put your ginger beer in.
