Photograph Notes: This rather bleak area of Lincolnshire - between the Lincoln Cliff and the fens - has a depopulated feel about it. The words 'heath' and 'gorse' can be found all over the map hereabouts though the present land-use is largely arable - with aerodromes. Temple Bruer may be a parish but there is no village nothing you could call a hamlet. In fact in the eight grid-squares which border on this rather empty one there are just a few isolated farmsteads. One of these in TF0055 has the name 'Four Winds Farm' which seems to sum things up.
