Scarce, exceptionally nice pair of Baker Furniture end tables. Designed in the Chinoiserie style, they have four legs with upturned feet. The table legs and skirt are lacquered black, with a hand-painted floral motif in old gold and pearl grey. The top has a slightly lipped outer edge, and is wrapped in a sheet of brass that extends under they edge and is secured with small brass nails. The feet are painted in a gold wash over silver. Both have the oval silver "Baker Furniture" metal medallion on the underside.

Both in excellent vintage condition - the legs are skirt are mint, no issues at all. There are some minor "vacuum cleaner" marks on the front corners of the feet that have been touched up. The tops are exceptionally as well - a few small "ping" marks and some light scratching. They are lacquered with a clear coat and there is some subtle variation to the color. The pieces look great and the pics scarcely do them credit. Nice rare pieces - we search out Baker and this is the first time we have seen this design.

Measurements: 27" x 20" x 18.5" high when measured at the brass top. The base portion is 22.5" x 15.5".
