Photograph Notes: The deserted house once perhaps a shooting lodge as it was in the summer of 1991. At the time the building could surely have been saved and even some years later when the photographer was there a surveyor arrived to examine the property on behalf of a potential purchaser. (Les Hull comments that it was on sale for �80 000 - Link .) At the time of the image the place was deteriorating slowly and its decline has been followed for some decades. More recently some materials have been salvaged - the roof stones and some lintels for example - but finally on a visit in September 2018 all that remained was..... Link .
