The coin has the shape of a circle. The side surface of the coin is smooth.

Obverse
On the obverse of the coin there is: at the top - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the center - against the background of the starry sky, an image of a boy and a girl sitting on a rotated month and holding an unfolded book; the year of minting is indicated below it; around the circle there are inscriptions: in the upper part - "РЕСПАБЛIКА БЛАРУСЬ", in the lower - "ДВАЦЦЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ".

Reverse
On the reverse side of the coin there is: at the top in a circle - the inscription "Thousand and hell nights"; in the center - a domed arch, inside of which there is an ornamented fragment of the ceiling of the Khalifa's palace, with an insert of blue synthetic zircon, behind the semi-arches of the windows - fantastic landscapes; below - against the background of the eastern city, images of the most frequently encountered subject characters of oriental fairy tales: an amphora, an airplane carpet, a camel and a snake; on the left - the landscape of the night Eastern city; on the right - a musical instrument - dombra, tree, birds. When the coin is rotated 180 °, instead of arches and landscapes, we see the face of an oriental woman in a chador with rich ornamented decorations.
