Does your laptop have a broken DC Power Jack?

Symptoms of broken DC Power Jacks:
§  The laptop only operates when you hold the power cord in a certain direction.
§  The laptop only runs on battery power.
§  The laptop gets no power at all.
§  The laptop will not charge the battery.
§  The laptop switches from AC power to battery power intermittently.
§  The laptop suddenly shuts off
§  Sparks come out of the back of the laptop. (This is always bad)

How does a DC Jack break?
§  The power jack on most models of laptops do not have enough reinforcement within the structure of the casing and motherboard to handle the stress caused by movement of the power plug.
§  Some power jacks simply fail under normal operation of your computer. After a year or two of usage, parts just come loose on certain models.
§  Sometimes the laptop gets dropped and the cord yanks the DC jack loose.
§  People, pets and vacuum cleaners trip over laptop power cords and break the power jack.
§  The laptop is moved around a lot. After the DC jack is moved back and forth enough times, it comes loose.

What to Include

If you’re shipping a laptop, please include the battery and laptop charger.

Make sure to also include a note in the package containing your:

• Return mailing address.
• Order Number
• Any other contact information you wish for us to have.
• A description of the problem(s) you are experiencing if it’s not evident.

How to Ship It

Package your laptop well using a shipping box or relevant. If you do not have your original computer box anymore, do not panic. Using a plain cardboard box with bubble wrap or peanuts is the way to go. The box should be big enough to comfortably fit the laptop and padding. If you need to obtain said supplies, a USPS Store or similar establishment is an efficient place to do so. They will also be more than happy to pack and ship your item, although you will save lots by packing it yourself.

Step 2: We Diagnose It

Upon arrival, we will run a full diagnostic that matches your indicated problems (and in most cases). Typically, within 24 hours you will receive the repair diagnosis and a complete written repair estimate. If the Laptop Charging Port is found to be the problem, it will be replaced with a new Laptop DC Jack. Additional time for replacement part may vary. If you choose not to move forward with repairs, then a diagnostic fee of $29.99 will be used to cover return shipping.

Note: Payment options can be done with PayPal, Square, Cash App, or Venmo.

Step 3: We Repair and Return It.

Sit back and relax. Approved repairs are typically completed within 4 to 7 working days and your “good-as-new” computer is promptly shipped back to you. You enjoy an updated and fully functioning repaired computer for less than the price of a new computer.

How The Service Works:

• You use the "Buy It Now" option to purchase the Laptop DC Power Jack Repair service.
• Upon completion of your purchase, you may receive instructions on how to ship your system to us for repair.
• Once we receive your system, we will disassemble the laptop and diagnose the problem.
• If the Laptop DC Power Jack (Charging port) is found to be the problem, it will then be replaced with a new DC Power Jack.
• It will then be reassembled, tested and verified to be working properly.
• The laptop will then be packed and shipped back to you.

Payment Instructions:

• After receiving your purchase, you should receive instructions on how to ship your system to us for repair. If you do not receive the instructions within 24 hours then please contact us.

Terms & Conditions:

• There may be times where the problem is not related then just one issue. In the event that your system has a different problem, we will contact you and notify you for the necessary repairs. If you choose not to move forward with repairs, then a diagnostic fee of $29.99 will be used to cover return shipping.
• Please include your charger with your laptop (Also if your desktop computer uses a special power cable). To ensure the best possible repairs, we would prefer to test your system with the adapter you use most often.
• Please include a printout of eBay checkout page with your package.

Shipping:

• All items are shipped. Local Pickups must be arranged with us beforehand.  
• Items are preferred to be shipped by USPS only in the USA. (Contact us if you are going to use UPS or FedEx)
• Please pack the device well as we will do the same on the return shipping.
• It will be your responsibility to safely ship the laptop to the address we provide you after your purchase.
• This is a mail-in for a laptop repair service. We recommend USPS Priority Mail shipping as it is insured and the fastest way to send it. We don't need the original box or anything else except for the Laptop & Charger. We don't require the system to be insured; however, we won't be responsible for damage or lost incurred during shipping. By making the purchase you agree to the terms set forth above.

Payment for Parts:

Limited Warranty:

• 1 Year Warranty on Parts and Labor only for the performed repair. (Covers only manufacturer defects in replacement parts and/or defect from installation error. Accidental damage not covered.)
