Alstroemeria, which is also known as a Peruvian lily, is a flower that comes in many colours.
 This plant can have white, red, orange, and purple blooms. It is most recognized by its unique leaves,
 which twist upside down and are said to associate the plant with the ups and downs of friendship

GENERAL  GROVING GUIDE
Growing Alstroemeria From Seed

 Alstroemeria  can be grown from either tubers (Rhizomes) or SEEDS.

When to Plant:  Anytime Providing Soil Temperature for Germination 10 to 25c

When to Sow:  Seed can be sown All Year Round

Sowing Depth:  8 to 10mm

Germination:  Approx 28 to 65  days Some seeds may take longer to germination 

Planting Spaces:   Sow seeds  5cm+ or more apart

Growing Height:  75 to 80cm

Germination Tip:  Can be improved by soaking seeds overnight in water before planting.

Planting Tip:

Best to plant them were they will remain undisturbed till developing Rhizomes.

The young plans will produce underground  tubers Rhizomes

during the growing season and rapidly spread.

You can then dig them up and plant as desired. Whether in Garden beds or Pots.

 You can enjoy them for many years to come.
