Daum frères
A wonderful French 1925 art deco lamp in wrought iron. The heavy forged base of excellent quality holds a rare model shade made by Daum. It is unsigned which is common for this type of shades. People familiar with exceptional Daum shades will immediately recognize it as such. Designed as piano lamp and for that use it's highly decorative but highly unpractical as well with its glass shade.
The lamp with a total weight of 2,65 kilos has a height of 33,5 cm (13-3/16"). And it is 45,5 cm long (17,9 inches). The lamp is in excellent condition. No chips or cracks to the shade and the iron has a nice deep-brown patina. It is rewired with new cloth covered twisted cord and an American candelabra base socket and US 2-prong plug. For European countries I will place a E14 socket.
