This vintage throw kantha quilt is made of 100% cotton fabric. it has three layers of old recycled saris stitched together with thousands of small & delicate fine running sturdily kantha stitches, hand crafted softly quilted handmade by artisans in india. two good condition fabric is placed on both side of quilt and small pieces of fabric are placed in between in such a way that its equally spread (batting/wadding/filler) and makes a three layer quilt, some time if both side fabric are thick enough then we don’t keep any middle stuff. each sari fabric has been washed before making the quilts and has not been used in its kantha throw form.
The entire quilt is painstakingly handmade with end number of straight running stitches to create a unique product, one of a kind (no two are alike), thus it’s a perfect gift too (wedding gift). all these make them a vintage kantha quilt.It is an old age tradition in rural india to recycle used old sari for making quilts/throws. kantha is still the most popular form of handmade practiced by rural women in india. The way in which the stitches have been done by hand makes the quilt extraordinary. this quilt is 100% organic & eco-friendly.
It has different beautiful warm and charming colors, designs and patterns on either side which gives a distinct look & thus can be used both sides (reversible). These quilts are famed and admired due to their kantha work.These quilts are very kid friendly; kids actually love it with its color and cool pattern.

1. We put moth balls in the bedspreads to avoid any damage through insects etc.,and the smell of mouth balls can be removed by putting it into sunlight.
2. Avoid washing at home (hand or machine wash )as the textile is quite old dry clean recommended
3. Please open the parcel very very carefully once received by you so that the bedspread does not get cut or torn etc.
