Naturalistic and sublime antique porcelain candelabrum, displaying a figural piece of a cavalier gentleman wooing a young lady, standing atop a base that weaves up into the candelabrum with floral patterns and gold-gilt acanthus leaves. Painted in pastel pink, a soothing and reserved mono-tonal palette.

Marked to Volkstedt porcelain manufactory, and fashioned under the purview of Triebner Ens & Eckert, the founders of the factory.. Known as the Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur, the "Oldest Volkstedt Porcelain Manufactory", this was the first porcelain manufactory in Thuringia, Germany, originating in the 1760s. This piece dates to the late 19th century, 1877 - 1894.

Tiny losses to petals and leaves - visible only under magnification.The candelabrum itself is quite loose in the figurine, and isn’t secured in place for easier transportation. However, once this item finds its new home, it will be quite easy to securely attach it in place.
