Life never gives us what we want at the moment that we consider appropriate. Adventures do occur, but not punctually.

Here we offer the first edition, stated fifth impression, of the classic novel, A Passage to India, by E.M. Forster, published by Edward Arnold & Co., London, in 1924. The book comes complete with a professional facsimile reproduction of its original first edition dust jacket. Passage to India is listed as one of 12 chosen by Encyclopedia Britannica as the "Greatest Book Ever Written."

Edgeworn, lightly soiled boards (please see pics.) Intact endpapers bear a period bookplate. Light foxing throughout and on edge of text block, which is common with this first. Very tight and square binding, very clean, bright, and crisp text. 825 pages, plus 3 pages of ads. The book measures approximately 7.5 x 5.5-inches.

This scarce first will make a wonderful addition to your collection or a marvelous gift.
