Marilyn Monroe Photo Signed George Barris

8×11 1962- Relaxed in her Bedroom at home

From the original negative and the collection obtained by EDWARD WESTON EDITION, this original 8"x10″ black and white photo is a nice intimate photo of the iconic Monroe.

George Barris signed this photo on the bottom left side in dark ink before he passed away. This is from Marilyn’s last photo shoot with George Barris during the summer of 1962. (Marilyn died in August 1962).

Many of these photographs were obtained originally by Kim Goodwin, as he worked for George Barris and the story has it that he was paid in negatives and photography for his work in lieu of a cash payment.

The rare picture (collection) offered here is a very unique up-close and personal image of Marilyn from her home. You can also know that such photos taken by this photographer (George Barris) are considered the last photo’s taken of Marilyn.

These rarely come up for for sale especially from Marilyn’s personal photographer signed. This is a very unique opportunity to acquire a piece of history.

Brief background on the photographer (George Barris

Back in June of 1962, Cosmopolitan assigned photographer George Barris to capture Marilyn Monroe around Los Angeles, which he obligingly did over the course of several weeks. The resulting 150 photos, taken which stretched from beaches where Monroe writhed around in a bikini in seaweed to the Hollywood Hills where she wore heels to climb a chain-link fence, felt celebratory—until a few weeks later, when Monroe unexpectedly passed away at age 36, making the Barris sessions her final photo shoot. Fifty-five years later, though, the largely unpublished photos are finally seeing the light of day
