Vintage Inlaid Mother of Pearl Chess Backgammon Set Handmade Solid Wood Complete
This Chess set is an amazing work of art. The listing pictures do not do this set justice as it is much more impressive in person. I had this set in my personal collection. It is really a nice presentation/ display set and a real work of art.
The board and game pieces are all completely handmade, carved and handcrafted. The board is comprised of inlaid mother of pearl and inlaid wood designs. The board is very solid and heavy.
The board measures approx. 12" by 12" AND 2" thick. The board folds in half and can be used for storage of the game pieces. When the board is folded in half it measures (12" by 6"). In addition (as pictured) when the wood game board is opened it can be used to play backgammon. The inlaid wood designs are very detailed and of high craftsmanship.
The chess pieces are made of wood, hand carved and measure in ranges approx. a large 4" (King) to 2" tall (Pawns).
All of the chess and backgammon game pieces are complete and included. The board and pieces are in excellently well preserved vintage condition.
Shipping for this item will be via USPS Priority mail. It will be packaged very carefully to avoid any damage during transit.
