The Red Panda Raster V2 is a digital delay with a pitch and frequency shifter integrated into the feedback loop. Depending on the setting, forward or reverse delay can be shifted once or can work with continuously shifted repeats. The effects pedal offers an extremely wide Spektrum of possible sounds with modulated and harmonized delays, reverse delays, chorus, arpeggios, infinite descents, chaotic self-oscillation and constantly evolving soundscapes. The heart of the Raster V2 is a clean delay with up to 1600 ms delay time. Three delay ranges enable precise adjustment and at the same time offer the possibility to react quickly and flexibly to timing changes. Infinite repeats or chaotic feedback loops can be set via the feedback control, and the tone control ranges from dark, analog-sounding repeats to a digital clarity that clearly emphasizes the attack in the signal. The two delay channels can be arranged in series, in series or in ping pong and can be shifted evenly or in different directions. In addition, the Pitch Shifter provides tempo-dependent arpeggios and wacky organ sounds that set no limits to creativity and sound design. The modulation section of the Raster V2 comes with a total of seven waveforms and can be assigned to delay time, pitch shift or even output level. With six knobs and nine switches, the pedal remains intuitive to use despite all the features, while the Raster V2 retains the direct control for which the previous version was so praised, and additionally offers flexible modulation and true stereo operation. The alternative functions of the controls are directly related to the main function and are clearly labeled for better understanding. Both footswitches can be used as latching or momentary switches, depending on your preference. When designing the Raster V2, Red Panda Labs wanted to incorporate as many classic rackmount digital delay tricks as possible while retaining the fast and intuitive controls that made using the original Raster so fun. Instead of multiple modes with generic knob names, all parameters are always available, so you can mix and match different effects and explore new sounds in between.
