Photograph Notes: Only small piers are needed as the passenger ferry is a small inflatable boat which only operates when the Sound of Noss is calm. In the distance is Gungstie, its pony pund, and the pier on the Noss shore. The sea in this photograph is too rough for the ferry to make the short crossing.
