DESCRIPTION OF ITEM

THIS ITEM IS--a vintage Original Foster Caddell illustrated art from a book, it has been placed on top of foam core (not connected) and under plastic, as you see it, VERY COOL AND COLLECTABLE. nice work, as shown. stamped on the paper FOSTER CADDELL. I think this is from the book BASKETBALL AND MR. G. by Matt Christopher ( but the name may have been changed when published, because I cant find it in a search), as I have the cover drawing and many others of basketball.

Foster Caddell's entire career has been in the art world. He began working after high school as a lithographer, and worked on fine art after hours and weekends. During World War II, he was assigned duties as a war artist and after the war returned to the lithograph company. At age 30, he combined his knowledge of printing and fine art and became a freelance illustrator. His success in this area led to his becoming the owner and teacher of the largest private art school in southern New England. He has authored four instructional art books. In addition he has written for, or been featured in, numerous art magazines, over the years.
