This Remington Standard Model Number 6 typewriter was
manufactured by the Remington Standard Typewriter Company around 1894.
The Model Number 6 contained many improvements to Remington’s previous
models including an improved cylinder, improved spacing mechanism,
improved paper carriage, and adjustable paper guides. Many of these
improvements were due to the inventiveness of Remington mechanist George
B. Webb.
