THIS IS A VINTAGE PAPER, this is the day Japan surrenders, but it is not really mentioned here. there is talk of Japan being given the final chance to quite the war.  interesting, love the color comic on co er, there is a tear on the cover, THIS PAPER IS NOT COMPLETE and has wear and tear, with big stain on the back.  i have page 1-6 and 15-18. it says there should be 28 pages.  YOU GET WHAT YOU SEE.  LOTS OF WAR STUFF ON COVER PAGE.

This broadside is a proclamation by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, John A. Andrew, informing the people of Massachusetts that he with the consent of the Executive Council has appointed Thursday, the first day of June next to be observed as a day of humiliation and prayer throughout the Commonwealth in compliance with President Johnson's proclamation. This was to be done in recognition of the recent bereavement of the nation, the assassination of President Lincoln on April 14, 1865. The proclamation is dated May 5, 1865. The proclamation is printed in large size font so that copies could be posted for all to read. - See more at: HTTPS://lincolncollection.org/search/results/item/?q=john+a+andrew&item=79006#sthash.dNx4Rz1Y.dpuf
