Vintage 10 inch Kanga & Roo

Highly sought after, the Vintage pre-owned ca.1985/86 Kanga and Roo was made by the R. John Wright company. Standing 10" tall, this limited edition Kanga & Roo captures the essence of the Winnie-the-Pooh Kangaroo character as depicted by E. H. Shepard in the original Winnie-the-Pooh books by A. A. Milne. This adorable duo is made of mohair plush fabric with embroidered features and glass eyes.

Kanga is 1-way jointed (head) 10 " tall. Roo is non jointed and measures about 1.5" tall......small enough to fit snugly in Kanga's pocket.

Note: The early R. John Wright pieces were sewn using white carpet yarn which resulted in lumpy seams and the occasional stitches showing at the seams. This charming hand made quality is common and expected.

Included is Kanga and Roo's original R. John Wright hang tag.

Condition - Excellent used condition with hang tag - No box.  We are a smoke free establishment.

Note: The early R.John Wright "Winnie The Pooh" pieces were produced with individually numbered hang tags with the R John Wright logo design on the front of the tag and the unique individual number of the piece shown on the back of the tag. The purchaser then had the option to mail the tag to the R John Wright company to register the item. The R. John Wright company in turn mailed the purchaser a numbered certificate of authenticity that included the unique item number, owners name, address, , etc.. If one of these early pieces still has the early production tag (not a registration certificate), the original owner never registered it with the company.......thus the item is complete with only the original production hang tag.
