Ansco Memar Pronto Film Camera in Original Leather Case.

Fully manual film camera from a bygone era, this model Ansco Memar Pronto was manufactured in Munich, Germany. It is essentially an Agfa Silette rebranded for the U.S. market by New York and originally sold in the 1950s by Ansco (based in Binghamton, NY). It is hefty, mechanical, retro and timeless in its appeal and makes for cool shelf or desk decor

We have NOT TESTED IT so cannot verify that it is fully functional or not.

This camera uses 35mm film

Its body is made of die-cast metal and covered in black leatherette. The metal trim is finished in satin chrome. Overall, it measures approximately 5” x 3.25” x 2.5”

The lens is an f3.5 Agfa Apotar coated anastigmat lens mounted into a Pronto shutter providing four speeds from 1/25 to 1/200 of a second. Features include an optical eye-level finder, thumb-lever film transport, and film type indicator.

This camera appears to be in good vintage condition — it has scuffs and minor scratches, the satin chrome shows some oxidization. The viewfinder is clear. Camera functionality has not been tested. It is sold as-is.

The cow-hide leather case has a broken strap; it’s otherwise in good vintage condition.
