Bambusa Bambos

 Giant Indian Bamboo 30 meters

A very large, densely clustering, somewhat thorny bamboo with pale culms to over 30 m (100 ft.) tall and 15 cm (6 in.) in diameter. The leaves can reach a length of 18 cm (7 in.). It is widely distributed throughout southern Asia and best suited to cultivation in a tropical climate. In India, leaf extracts of this bamboo are popular in the treatment of inflammatory conditions.


Sowing instructions:

Place the seeds on a layer of wet absorbent paper and place them inside a zip plastic bag.

When the seeds begin to germinate, place them in a jar containing wet peat.

Wait for the seedlings to reach 20 cm in height before placing them on the ground.

10 to 20 days to germinate at 24/30° C
