Photograph Notes: The church of St Peter and St Paul at Appledore was largely reconstructed after a French raid in 1380. As usual the annual flower festival was being held over the August Bank Holiday weekend. This represented fishing and a net filled with fish can be seen towards the left of the tomb, which dates from the late 14th century.
