This is a lovely original oil painting on canvas featuring a traditional Irish cottage within the Glenveagh National Park area of County Donegal in Ireland.
The artwork is signed to the lower left by the artist; CHARLIE LUDLOW.
ARTIST
Charlie Ludlow (1936-2021) is a well respected artist, known for landscape scenes around the island of Ireland. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1936, he spent his younger years in Glasgow before returning to Belfast aged 16 in 1952. An engineer by trade he first worked within the shipyard at Belfast, before finally working within the mechanical engineering department at Queens University, Belfast and then retiring in 1983.
During his retirement, his love and skill as an artist further developed, with him securing exhibitions of his work including paintings, drawings and sculptures. His works have sold well over the years, particularly to collectors throughout Ireland, UK and Germany.
