These drive belts are Made In The USA; They are the same type and material as oem, but are not produced by DeWalt. Drive belts are considered a wear item and will need replacing at some point, which is normal.
This small belt controls the random orbit functions of common random orbital sanders. If this belt breaks the sander will operate poorly and sanding functions will be disabled. Removing the sanding pad and replacing this belt is an easy repair.
Many do-it-yourselfers have already given feedback that it was simple to replace and they are up and running again. There is no 'gamble' involved.
