A tall vase by Mariella McKinley, cased in three layers, blown in swirling shades of pink glass, over a white interior and finished in a clear overlay for extra brilliance. The pink swirls are lightened with touches of amber and brown. McKinley’s signature is engraved on the underside. In very good vintage condition with just some light surface wear.

Mariella McKinley is an award-winning Australian glass artist who specialises in hand blown and cold worked glass. Mariella graduated from Monash University in 2006, majoring in Glass. She then spent two years at the Jam Factory, Adelaide. She then worked as an assistant to internationally renowned Sydney artists, Ben Edols and Kathy Elliott, before returning to Melbourne to establish her own studio.
Mariella currently works from her studio at Australia’s oldest artists’ colony, Montsalvat, in Eltham, Victoria. Here, she takes inspiration from the creative atmosphere and picturesque setting. Mariella continues to develop new ideas and explore complex cane working techniques and precise cold working methods. As a result, her unique exhibition pieces feature exquisite surface patterns and harmonious, sculpted forms. Her design work is created with a focus on colour, form and function.

Please view all the photos before purchasing, they complete the description. While I do my best to reproduce the true colours of the pieces, they will vary slightly from system to system, and in actual viewing they will vary under differing lighting. All white spots are light reflections.

Shipping: with tracking worldwide. The item will first be wrapped in bubble before packing securely in a solid box with lots of peanuts – earthquake proof. We aim to ship within 1 business day of receiving cleared, please forgive the odd occasion when this extends to 2-3 days. I always combine on postage where possible.

International buyers are very welcome, import duties and any other fees are your responsibility. Items will be declared at the purchase price, we will not ship it as a gift.
