The impeller shaft bearings are a critical component for ensuring smooth rotation of the impeller up to 90k RPM. Worn bearings can cause the impeller to vibrate or wobble leading to impeller contacting the supercharger housing and causing the blades to crack or wear out due to abrasion. It is critical to service and replace the impeller shaft bearings especially if the vehicle has over 60,000 miles (100,000 km).
These are the same and original bearings used by Alpina in the superchargers with the correct static and dynamic load readings and unique high temperature resistant cage material as specified by Alpina. Not generic aftermarket bearings. Made in Germany.
